The Austin-Healey 100/ 4 BN1 is a classic sports car produced by Austin-Healey between 1953 and 1955. Its name, "100," signifies the vehicle's capability to reach a top speed of 100 mph (160 km/ h). Except for the initial twenty units, the majority of Austin-Healey 100s were manufactured at the Longbridge plant in England. The car features a 2660 cc straight-four engine and comes standard with a 3-speed transmission, which was specially modified to allow for overdrive in both second and top gears. In total, 10, 030 BN1 models were produced from May 1953 until the introduction of the BN2 model in August 1955.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate confirms that this particular LHD example (hood – top not included) was built on the 1st of February 1954 and was destined for the USA. Chassis number BN1-L/ 151628 is still together with its factory engine number 1B/ 205680 and Body Number: 4550/ 1667 Restored over a 2 year period from 2021-2023 by specialist Classic Bodies Forell in Paderborn Germany, it is eligible to be entered in the Mille Miglia.

This fully restored frame-off project boasts numerous impressive upgrades that enhance driving comfort and ease. Here are just a few highlights: an aluminum cylinder head, an aluminum fuel tank, front disc brakes paired with rear aluminum brake drums, and an aluminum bonnet along with front wings secured by leather bonnet straps. Additional features include bonnet air vents, a later model steering system, a reinforced Dennis Welch frame, a larger carburetor with air injection, a throttle cable in place of traditional linkage, a stainless steel side-pipe exhaust, a Dennis Welch manifold, a larger clutch, and adjustable front suspension.

Currently registered with German historical documentation, this vehicle is ready to be enjoyed and driven as intended.
