When Carroll Shelby started applying his name to low volume performance sports cars packing a Ford V8 motor he likely had no clue he was making history. 60 years later the name still holds a special place in the heart of collector car enthusiasts all over the world. His company Shelby American has continued his legacy providing special performance packages for cars being produced today. The 2018 Mustang GT is a respectable car in its own right but if you are the type that wants peak performance then the Shelby Super Snake is the car for you.

For 2018 even the standard Mustang got a facelift but in classic Shelby style they knew they could take it a step further. A limited number of these were produced keeping them both rare and exclusive. The work is done by certified Shelby technicians whose names are forever memorialized onto an engraved plate found on the car. They are also given unique Shelby serial numbers and are documented in the Shelby registry.

This beautiful 2018 Super Snake Convertible has been extremely well maintained since completion and is a low mileage example with 1,129.3 miles on the odometer. The brilliant Blue paint combines perfectly with the White center stripe paying tribute to the classic Blue/White combo found on Shelbys of the past. We aren't sure how else to describe it...this thing looks mean. There is nobody looking at this car and wondering if it's quick. It comes from Shelby American Inc with the power bulge dual scoop hood, aggressive Black front splitter, duck tail spoiler, and 20 inch forged aluminum Shelby wheels.

Powered by the strong Ford 5.0L Coyote V8 paired with a large polished Whipple Supercharger it boasts an output power of over 800hp. According to Shelby it will rocket its way to 60mph in 3.5 seconds so when you it comes time to put your foot in it be prepared to sit back and hold on for the ride. The Whipple was the best supercharger package offered and offered the highest HP. They don't just slap on a supercharger and call it a day because they also tweak out the suspension, brakes, etc to create the ultimate performance machine. These upgrades include Brembo six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear, drilled/slotted rotors, Shelby Performance track handling suspension, a bespoke radiator, high-flow heat exchanger, Shelby tuned Borla variable exhaust system, and specialty performance half-shafts. Cars equipped with the optional 6 speed automatic also came with a custom transmission cooler.

They include additional Super Snake badges throughout and the interior is no different. The Katzkin interior incorporates custom Super Snake embroidery work and was ordered in a two tone Black with Blue inserts with high grade stitching. The upholstery, carpet, dash, door panels, and top are all in excellent condition. These also received an updated gauge package which is all working properly with no issues.

If you are in the market for a unique Mustang but won't settle for anything less than the best this Super Snake should be on your short list. It is a collector car for the future and is a performance monster. They are still regarded as one of the most impressive Mustang to ever hit the street or track. This one has never been raced and has been very well cared for since new.
