- The star on the Audi stand at the 2002 Geneva Auto show was the RS6 with its unique high-tech package, powerful engine, Quattro permanent four-wheel drive, advanced braking system and innovative DRC suspension, all setting new standards in the high-performance vehicle segment
- Motivation was courtesy of a 4.2-litre, twin-turbocharged V8, delivering 444bhp and 413lb/ft of torque to all four wheels through a 5-speed ZF automatic transmission
- This example was acquired by our vendor from an Audi specialist around ten years ago accompanied by a detailed history. The indicated mileage at that point was 88,000 and it still displays under 100,000 miles almost ten years later
- Finished in Mugello Blue with brushed aluminium-effect door mirror covers over a charcoal grey cabin with contrasting cream leather upholstery and featuring Recaro seats embossed with ‘RS6’ on the seat backs
- Upgraded from the original DRC suspension, it's now on KW1 coil-overs and the engine has been sensibly modified
- This is a well maintained example of these super competent, super quick saloons and has patently been cherished
