The DBS began its journey in January 2006, when only a design sketch was unveiled. The world held its breath in anticipation, knowing that the dashing James Bond himself would soon be at the helm in the upcoming cinematic masterpiece, Casino Royale.

To keep the prying eyes of spies at bay and to maintain an air of mystique, photographs were unveiled of the DBS in May 2006, just ahead of the film's release in November of that same year. The summer of 2007 marked a defining moment as AML graced the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in Monterey, California, to bestow upon the world a glimpse of this new automotive marvel.

The much-awaited DBS Volante made its majestic debut as expected at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, promising to grace our roads later that year. Beneath its sculpted hood lay the heart of a beast – a 510 bhp V12 engine, borrowed from its coupe counterpart, resting on an uprated VH chassis. The DBS Volante, in theory, possessed the capability to soar to 191 mph. At its launch, it was exclusively offered in a 2+2 configuration, sporting a redesigned tonneau cover similar to the V8 Roadster.

The DBS Volante not only outpaced the DB9 Volante but also unfolded its roof quicker in just 14 seconds, even while driving at speeds up to 30 mph.

Following the coupe, the Volante came adorned with a carbon splitter, carbon diffuser, and powerful carbon ceramic brakes. Complementing its looks was a brand-new 10-spoke wheel design, also available as an option for the coupe at a later date.

The DBS Volante was introduced to the world amidst the thrill of Le Mans 2009, with many of the factory's elite taking the wheel of these magnificent machines.

As the sun set on the summer of 2012, production of the DBS Volante drew to a close, marking the completion of a mere 846 examples of this automotive masterpiece.

Finished in the exquisite Hammerhead Grey exterior, beautifully contrasted by the Lords Red hides, complimented by the 20-inch Graphite-finished wheels. The car also benefits from a brand-new black fabric retractable folding roof.

In addition to its standard specifications, this 2010 model year example boasts an array of delightful extras, including a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound sound system, Black Brake calipers, an upgraded alarm system, and seatbelts in black. Not to forget, the ever-handy wind deflector is also included.

Step into the world of luxury and performance, embodied in this magnificent DBS Volante.
