The Corvette C2 is named after the sleek and elegant sea creature the Sting Ray. It was developed in a wind tunnel, immediately supplied with a V8 and with a fibreglass body relatively light. The C2 Sting Ray is seen by many as the most attractive Corvette. In 1964 the rear window 'spine' disappears, so loosing its 'Split Window' nickname.

Our car is a bright-blue 1966 coupe and therefore one with a single piece rear window. A beautifully sculpted coupe with its finish complimenting the fresh gleaming brightwork. The fibreglass bodywork is in excellent condition with straight panels, flush closing doors and every detail in its right place. The car has been resprayed in its original colour. Certainly a car that sticks on ones retina.

A characteristic features of this generation of Corvette's is the colourful interiors. They were either colour-coded or decked out in a big contrasting trim., This Nassau Blue Sting Ray the choice was clearly in favour of matching metallic blue interior trim. The blue on blue theme is to use one word fantastic! The contrast of a few bits of black and aluminium trim provide a great cabin space to be in, especially with that large wooden steering wheel and you right foot firmly in charge of huge 304 hp 327 V8.

The V8 reacts just as you would want it to in such a muscle car, the engine transferring its might through the manual 4-speed to the rear wheels. The aforementioned 304 hp in combination with even in todays money impressive 488 Nm of torque do not disappoint in the performance arena. The 0-100km/hr sprint is done in just over 6.5 seconds with the C2's mid-range sprints being even more impressive. It guarantees an ear to ear grin.
The car comes with a bundle of invoices and other paperwork as well as an owner's manual. This C2 has benefitted from exemplary maintenance, ready for its new owner.

A Corvette C2 in other words you can immediately fully start to enjoy whether driving the 5.4 litre V8 taking in the soundtrack or admiring its beautiful lines in your garage.
