The MGA is an incredibly fun car for classic touring and rallying, among other things. Alongside the world-famous MGB, the MGA is an iconic car, which set the tone within the company, during the second half of the 20th century. This car was a totally different car in every respect compared to the MG TF. Some features of the MGA include its low design and exceptional stability. The creation of the MGA was due to the need for a streamlined 'sporty' car for private racers, who were eager to compete in the 1951 Le Mans 24-hour race. Three prototypes of the MGA took part in Le Mans in 1955, two of which even finished in the top 20! This illustrates the impressive potential of the MGA, in terms of competition.
Although the later builds may be slightly faster, in our opinion, the earlier examples remain the most fun because of their purity. With its rack-and-pinion steering and independent suspension, the MGA combines classic looks with extremely good handling and (for its time) sporty performance. This makes this MG beloved by car enthusiasts and not for nothing is the MGA an important car for the marque and fortunately a prized model.

This car is in good condition. A few years ago, this MG was restored and overhauled and therefore this MGA looks very nice. The colour combination of a black exterior and red interior can be called very nice (although opinions may differ), but more importantly, this is how the car was delivered at the time. The restoration work makes the exterior look good with a deep black gloss and good fits. Besides a nice convertible top, the interior looks nice and well cared for and the restoration work in the interior is good. Both the steering wheel and instrumentation are cared for and the whole thing looks very nice.

Under the bonnet also looks very good and the engine runs cleanly. Of course, driving the MG is as you would expect from an MGA. Due to the overhaul work, the car drives very well. The gearbox handles well, as does the clutch, and driving this MG is pure and plenty of driving pleasure. In addition, the underside of the car is also in good condition and we can conclude that we are dealing here with an MG that is ready to go for many great rides.
