All fuel lines and pipes have been renewed and meticulously maintained. The water pump and Girling brakes were recently overhauled, while all hoses were replaced and a new clutch and pressure plate were installed. The Lucas injection system functions as it should and was a huge technical innovation at the time. The clutch thrust bearing is audible, but works fine. To fix this noise, the thrust bearing must be replaced.
The chassis number is AM1012034 and matches the engine number. The body number of the Carrozzeria Touring is No. 12257. In the trunk you will find an original Borrani spare wheel and a tool-kit. In the documentation folder you will find several manuals and a parts catalog. You will also find several invoices and descriptions of the Lucas injection system. General information about the Maserati 3500
Launched in 1957, the Maserati 3500 GT was Maserati's first Gran Turismo and was designed by Carrozzeria Touring. What followed was an elegant car with a powerful 3.5-liter inline six-cylinder engine. With 220 horsepower and a top speed of 230 mph, it offered impressive performance for the time. Only 2,226 examples were produced between 1957 and 1964, making it a rare and sought-after classic. The 3500 GT attracted the attention of celebrities and car enthusiasts, making it a status symbol.
