One of Alfa Romeo's most beloved decades is the 1970s. Giulias, Berlinas, Bertones and of course the Spider: they are all highly prized classics. While the first three models were replaced by successors over the years, it is the Spider that was built until mid-1993. The Spider you see here belongs to the last series, Type 4. The appearance of a real classic, but in its final form.
At the same time, the Spider 4 is the last Alfa Romeo with rear-wheel drive, until the arrival of the Giulia in 2016, if we leave out the 8C and 4C. The Spider series IV can be a pleasure to drive, but in practice, many cars appear to have had a mediocre past. That is completely different with this beautiful silver-grey convertible.
It is clear at first glance: this originally Dutch-delivered Spider with only 105,000 kilometres of experience is in really neat condition. The deep glossy lacquer provides a very fresh look. The entire body is in new condition, including the areas behind the plastic sheet metal such as sills and bumpers. Many Spiders fall through the cracks here.
The same applies to the interior, from the tight-feeling and close-fitting grey leather seats to the dashboard that shows no signs of use. The grey door panels are also like new, as are the red carpets, and if you close the door behind you, it closes very easily. All signs that this Spider is actually as good as it seems at first impression.
The two-litre Nord engine looks as if it has just come off the production line at Pininfarina in Grugliasco. And this is how the car has been maintained. The mileage of this Spider is already very low, but judging by the condition of the car, less than half would have been likely.
'La Dolce Vita' could not be more within reach than with this Italian open two-seater. The pleasure of a classic, the convenience of a youngtimer and the condition of a new car: we don't often come across them like this anymore. We also supply the original manual and service booklet as well as some invoices.
In short, a fantastic Alfa Spider Quadrifoglio Verde, loosely translated means four-leaf clover, so come and taste your luck with us in Brummen.
